Pierce and Associates began in the Midwest in 1994 as a consulting firm providing marketing, strategic planning, re-engineering, and pre-construction services to public and private sector organizations. Her clients included Gateway 2000, Terra Chemical, Chambers of Commerce, Goodwill Industries, United Way, St. Luke’s Regional Health Center, various school districts, state and local government agencies, candidates for public office and referendum campaign committees. The Company was re-located to Arizona in 2007.
Sue Pierce, founder and principal of Pierce and Associates, has undergraduate degrees in political science, accounting and German and a Masters degree in Public Administration. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Over the last 14 years she has worked extensively with local governments and school districts in the areas of facility planning, pre-construction services and process re-engineering. In addition, she has operated a division within Pierce and Associates that provides complete support services to political candidates and referendum committees. Most recently, she has expanded her service offerings to include energy and sustainability consulting.
Pierce and Associates wrote and coordinated the effort in the Iowa legislature to pass a one cent local option sales tax to be used exclusively for the construction, expansion and remodeling of K-12 schools in Iowa. The legislation was signed into law in May, 1998, and has revitalized and reenergized school construction in that state which had numerous old schools and an aging demographic.
